In 1948, Arvel McMahan and his father opened E.M. McMahan & Sons General Contractors. In 1953 they expanded to real estate sales in Oldham County, KY. In, 1972 Jerry, Arvel’s son, came into the family business. In the 1980’s Jerry got together with several other smaller real estate companies, and they formed The Home Store and expanded the footprint into Louisville. In 1991 there were more changes in store for McMahan and the company became an affiliate with Coldwell Banker.
Since 1906
Coldwell Banker was founded in 1906 in San Fransisco. As the oldest national real estate brand they have remained on the cutting edge of service and technology for their associates and customers.
